Self-awareness has become a daily practice, which led me to a path of understanding that this ego of mine was going to have to take a permanent seat. Knowing that I am a work in progress is key. Old habits die hard. It's so easy to react with the ego leading, especially when people treat you wrong. But here is that age-old question:

MM: For me, it's pretty simple, stay true to what you do... When I'm on stage, that's the platform to get everything (you're feeling inside) out. Whatever you're feeling at the moment, you just leave it all on the stage. With that connection, that's how you can bring the audiences with you (to the music) and take them somewhere else. For me, that's what it's all about.
